2. ARE LESSONS ONE ON ONE OR BY GROUP?

Lessons are one on one or individual. Group lessons online won't be that productive.

3. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN AN INSTRUMENT?

The learning varies from student to student. In 8 or 12 sessions, young kids will only learn the basic, able to play around 3 short songs. 8 sessions wont be enough for kids to really sight read music and play variety songs. It's like any other languages. A younger child can only learn the first 5 notes in 8 sessions and can play basic songs like 'Mary had a little lamb, Old MacDonald etc. In 8 sessions they can learn around 5 songs to play but it depends on the child and they are Nursery songs or excerpts from classical music.

That's why our students still continue to study for 3, 6 months or years. The younger the child, the longer the study is advisable. If the child stops after 8 or 16 sessions, there could be issues with learning retention after few months. The tuition fee is wasted if you stop early because young children will forget it. It is a skill that needs repetition for a long period of time.

For teens and adults, you can learn chords in just 12 sessions but it also takes months to learn it independently. Unless you're musically inclined or has good music background, you can learn chord playing skill in 1-2 months.

4. DO YOU HAVE FREE TRIAL?

Our one-hour trial has a fee of P500. We have a lot of trial requests every week. We consider the time and effort of the teachers esp if they’re loaded. If they have 5 trials or 5 hrs everyday, it’s not worth it if they work for it for free. Some schools accept free trial for promotion. Simply, we want the teachers to be paid for the hours they work for esp this pandemic times.

5. HOW DOES THE ONLINE LESSONS WORK?

The learning procedure is the same as face to face instruction, only that for some instruments like piano, teacher will focus her camera on her keys. With proper and detailed instruction, even young kids can follow. It's so doable online especially that it's one on one.

6. MY CHILD HAS ZERO KNOWLEDGE IN MUSIC, WILL SHE LEARN?

Yes, of course. Most of our students have zero music background.

7. WHAT IS YOUR AGE LIMIT?

Piano and Ukulele - at least 5 years old. Young kids who find hard with guitar can start with ukulele first.

Voice - at least 6 years old

Guitar - at least 7 years old (maybe challenging for kids with small/weak fingers. Guitar has 6 strings.)

Violin - at least 7 years old

Cello - at least 7 years old

No age limit for adults!

8. WHY DO YOU HAVE AGE LIMIT FOR VOICE?

Age requirement for voice lessons is at least 6 years old. The reason for age limit for voice is that voice lessons have vocalizations that may strain the voice of a young child. You can first train them at home by letting them listen or watch songs like Broadway Music. And also let them do videoke. Formal lessons is too early for them. It would be good for young kids to learn to sing naturally on their own first. To learn to love singing, and finding their own voice. We suggest exposing them to Broadway Music.

For other instruments, the age limit is due to young child's short attention span. It's better and more beneficial to get them started at the right age.

9. WHAT ARE YOUR SCHEDULE OF LESSONS?

11. CAN I MEET THE TEACHERS BEFORE I BEGIN THE LESSONS?

Our teachers are all experienced and professionals. Each instructor has already been properly screened and has been very carefully chosen for their skills and abilities. Our job is to give you best music education possible, in order to do this our instructors are required to focus solely on teaching. So, we would like our prospective teachers to put our trust in us. We would like you to meet the teacher after enrollment instead.

12. HOW DO WE DIFFER FROM OTHER MUSIC SCHOOLS?

Our system is also digitally aligned. Students have the option to use an instrument software too. Our teachers are being compensated well and given benefits. The company give the best for them so they will do their best for their students too. We promote respect and provide an optimistic environment as we look after the welfare of the student.

13. ARE THE TEACHERS QUALIFIED?

Yes and are carefully selected. If you happen to encounter issues with teachers that do not  align with our policies and principles, please feel free to message the admin. Character and attitude towards work is a different story. Though they are always kept reminded about policies.

14. WHAT IF THE STUDENT'S & TEACHER'S PERSONALITIES DON'T JIVE OR THE STUDENT IS DISSATISFIED?

The big advantage of enrolling your student to a school is that you will be taken cared of. Teachers who are violating policies will be reprimanded. Or if the teacher and student collide due to personality differences, we can provide you other teachers for replacement, but this happens rarely.

15. WHAT IF MY CHILD SUDDENLY DOESN'T WANT TO CONTINUE ANYMORE?

They can try another instrument. Our students are free to switch over to another instrument at any time. It is better to try something else than to end up hating music! However, it does take several months to develop a basic level of playing. It is best to try and give it a minimum of 2 months before deciding to change instruments or to quit. Students are not locked into taking lessons with us, you are free to remove your child from lessons and discontinue payment anytime.

16. CAN I JUST TAKE ONE MONTH OF LESSONS ONLY?
In one month you really don’t have enough time to give your lessons a fair chance. It takes time to translate what you are learning into a physical skill. Much like going to the gym, it takes time to see results. However, our school does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student here is on a month to month basis. It is the parents' responsibility to keep the admin and teachers informed.

17. CAN I SIT IN WITH MY CHILD'S LESSONS?

Yes, we have an open door policy. It is your choice when to sit in. However, please keep in mind that while some students work better with a parent in the room, others may find it distracting. The teacher will give you some advice on this after they get to know your child.

18. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 30-MINUTE & 1-HOUR PROGRAM?
For young students, a 30-40-minute lesson is already productive. We give the lesson to as long as one hour. But this does not work all the time especially to younger children. We don't force them to finish one hour of lesson to prevent them getting overwhelmed or stressed. This is the reason why children quit. It should be fun and productive. As they progress, and at the advice of the teacher, you can go to a longer lesson time. That's why the 30-minute works better with younger kids. Bigger kids, teens and adults may be easily can adapt with an hour lesson immediately.

19. HOW MUCH TIME DOES MY CHILD NEED FOR PRACTICE?
We recommend a minimum of 15 minutes per day. Although this is the absolute minimum recommendation, students will progress faster and remember more if they are able to practice more often. For young children, the practicing goes much better if the parent supervises.

20. DO YOU ACCEPT STUDENTS OVERSEAS?

Yes of course. In fact, 30% of our students are Filipinos abroad. Foreigners wherever and whoever you are are accepted.

21. DO YOUR TEACHERS SPEAK ENGLISH?

Yes, majority of us can speak very well in English.

22. DO YOU PROVIDE A CURRICULUM/METHOD?

100%. The teachers follow a method & techniques book that serve as the curriculum. We avoid the spread of our own curriculum online so we only give it upon enrollment. But we can give a preview upon request.
